Representing the two governments, Chinese ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang and Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic signed an agreement in Serbia's capital city, Belgrade, on Dec 17, 2014 to set up cultural centers in both countries.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended and witnessed the signing ceremony during his visit to Serbia with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic. The signing of the agreement ushered both sides into a new era of the development of bilateral cultural relations.
