A view of the craftsmanship of the wood carvings on the Huaxilou, or Gorgeous Dramatic Stage, in Bozhou city, East China's Anhui province, Jan 4. The building was famous for its excellent wood carving and colored drawings both at home and abroad. It was constructed in 1676 during the reign of Emperor Kangxi, and later many colored drawings and wood carvings were added to the building during the period of Emperor Qianlong.
