Chinaculture.org has recently been named "2014 Best Chinese Website with an International Vision". This award was also given to other two websites: nhfpc.gov.cn, the website of the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the PRC and drc.gov.cn, the website of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

Eight series of awards were set up to commend the impressive performance of relative websites in the past year. Among all the awards, the sixth series of awards, where "Best Chinese Website with an International Vision" is included, have been appraised on the basis of how well the Chinese websites exert international influence through four categories- information disclosure, public service, interaction and website management.

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Chinaculture.org was developed and is maintained by Chinadaily.com.cn. It is widely acknowledged as one of the most effective and convenient media for learning about China. It not only promotes cultural and economic exchange but enhances a mutual understanding between China and the world.

The China E-Information Research and Promotion Network (CEIRP) in association with other departments, conducted appraisal work on 2014 China superior e-government platforms since July 2014.
