After wowing festival goers in Auckland the Lantern Festival makes its way to Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Christchurch is now one of New Zealand’s most vibrant artistic and cultural hubs and is proud to celebrate Chinese culture.
The Christchurch Lantern Festival is held in the beautiful surroundings of Hagley Park North and offers mouth-watering Asian delights and stunning entertainment from Tang Dynasty, the Shanghai Jiangzhou Drum Troupe, Kite artist Guo Hongli and The Butterfly Troupe.
