After four years' construction, Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, a modern theater complex in Southern Beijing, will make its debut after 100 days on November 20 this year. In the press conference today, Tian Yuan, general manager of the theater, released the information and briefly introduced the theater to Beijing media.
The theatre occupies 1.65 hectares of land (16, 500 square meters). The construction of the center kicked off in March, 2012. It is a comprehensive theater group that includes a Grand Theater with 1600 seats, a Medium Theater with 1000 seats, a Small Theater with 400 seats and a Multi-functional Hall with a capacity of 300 people.
In addition, the center can also host other cultural and service facilities, including shops, restaurants, art exhibitions etc, to become a real arts center that provides audiences with lifestyle options.
According to Tian Yuan, the biggest feature of the center is the innovative business models. To implement the Internet Plus Strategy, the center creates an Art Plus development model to satisfy the needs from the audience.
"Now we can use Internet technology to boost ticket sales as well as marketing promotion. But this is far from enough. We will offer an all-around online service oriented towards audiences. In the future, our audience can check the information of activities in the center from our official website, buy the tickets online, book a parking space or make a reservation for a restaurant in the center on our APP," Tian said.
"After we open, we will offer free Wi-Fi available for 3000 people at the same time. Whether or not they have a performance ticket, visitors can walk into our interactive area to experience the fun of art, or saunter in our 4, 000 square meter business center," Tian added.
