The exhibition is being held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the archaeological excavation of the Tomb of Fu Hao, who was the wife of Wu Ding (the Shang King) and the first female general for whom there are proven historical records.
The Tomb of Fu Hao was unearthed in the Yin Ruins by archaeologists in 1976. A total of 1928 pieces of funeral objects were dug out of her grand mausoleum, including relics like bronze wares, jade wares, and bone wares, which demonstrate late Shang cultures.
The exhibition will last from March 8 to June 26.
