As a part of both the “Happy Chinese New Year” event and China-Egypt Culture Year, a New Year temple fair was held at the Maadi Island Park in Cairo on Feb 19.

All over the park, there were stands displaying traditional Chinese arts and handicrafts, including paper cutting, woodcraft, dough figurines, tea making and herbal medicine, as well as traditional Chinese games like Diabolo, where kids and adults could play or learn how to play.

Egyptian and Chinese artists also performed traditional Chinese dances and songs.
