During his state visit to Egypt, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a celebration with his Egyptian counterpart, al-Sisi, at Luxor temple on Jan 22, which marked the opening of China-Egypt Culture Year. The event also celebrated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the nations.
Themed “A Dialogue between Two Great Civilizations”, the splendid cultural show consisted of performances by Chinese and Egyptian dancers, musicians and opera singers.
Before the performance, the cultural ministers of both countries, Luo Shugang and Hilmi al-Namnam, announced the launch of the China-Egypt Cultural Year 2016.
