Founded in 2002 by Sylvain Lapointe, Buzz has been performing ever since in Europe, the United States and all across Canada. This Montreal brass quintet is a true musical phenomenon, having in its repertoire exceptional chamber music performances ranging from classical music to present day jazz and blues standards. Buzz has given over 1,000 performances on two continents, attracting more than 225,000 spectators as well as countless numbers who have tuned into their radio and television broadcasts.
Critics and the public alike have enthusiastically acclaimed the ensemble’s recordings, concerts and young-audience shows. The quintet is the winner of “TRILLE OR” Award 2015, OPUS Award 2014 “Concert of the Year”, OPUS Award 2014 “Production of the Year”.
