Titled "Beautiful China, Beautiful Poland", a photo exhibition featuring nature, people, culture and exchanges between China and Poland was unveiled in Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday.
More than 40 photos presenting natural landscapes and cultural monuments of China and Poland were displayed at the event.
In the afternoon, a fair of Chinese books was launched at the Virgin bookstore in the Warsaw Chopin Airport.
"We hope the two events could open a window for people in Poland to get a better understanding of the culture and history of China, and its modern development as well," said Guo Weimin, vice-minister of the State Council Information Office of China.
The books on sale covered Chinese politics, economy, literature, history and culture. Apart from English versions, about 20 Polish versions were also available at the exhibition.
As one of the partners of the event, Andrzej Kacperski, president of the company in Poland of the Largardere Group, said their bookstores in many major airports can bring books about China to the Polish people efficiently.
