From 2011 to 15, 17 provinces and municipalities in China began their cooperative programs on cultural relics in Tibet. 130 projects were launched, and 20 protection projects are still ongoing.
"A myriad of cultural relics in Tibet not only reflects of history and social development of the region, but its emotional connection with rest of China," Liu said.
"And a more complete legal system for protection, utilization, and custody of cultural relics can be improved through the projects. Cultural industry, tourism, and more working opportunities will thus be encouraged."
