Zeng has impressed people with every turning he has made in creation. But every steps he has furthered forward is related to his background — the environment of Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province where he was born and raised.

Pi, also a native of Wuhan, says the city is very folk and down to earth and sometime feels like a quagmire that can pull people deeper down, and among the chaos of life, Zeng strives to create something noble, pure and spiritual.
