Photo taken on May 6, 2017 shows the scenery of Dongchuan Red Land in Hongtudi township of Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province. Located mainly at an altitude between 1,800 and 2,600 meters, the Dongchuan Red Land's brownish-red color comes from its rich deposit of iron and aluminum. Every year during spring, when this area is ploughed for agriculture, a large number of visitors and photographers come to see red earth. The fiery red soil juxtaposed with emersed green barley against a blue sky produces one of the richest color plates rarely seen in nature. [Photo/Xinhua]
