Art Troupe of the Political Department of Tibet Military Region
The Art Troupe of the Political Department of Tibet Military Region of the Chinese PLA was founded in 1947, known as the military cultural troupe stationed at the highest place above sea level in the world. Throughout the years, the Troupe insists on creating and performing for the soldiers who are based on the plateau. Their programs focus on reflecting the frontier, military and Tibetan lives. Artists of the Troupe frequently go to sentry posts in snow-capped mountains giving 120 special performances for the soldiers and traveling nearly 10,000 kilometers in a year.

The Troupe has produced many remarkable programs and songs such as dance Laundry Song and songs How Can We Help Singing Songs, Beautiful Tibet, My Lovely Homeland and Xiaerba's Song Flies to the Tian'anmen Square. Its repertoire includes songs Songs for Caguola, Night of the Holy City, Pastoral Songs of the Plateau, and Flags; dances Ah Xie, Snow-capped Mountain Love and Red-star flowers; cross-talks and one-act plays Lover, Telegram, Flower Candle Night, Home on Snow-capped Mountain, Wedding and Soldiers' Song.

The troupe has a group of talented artists including composer Luo Nianyi; film directors Sun Guangming and Zhai Junjie; playwright and director Liu Zongyou and performers Tan Xuesheng, Ba Sang and Zhang Xiaomu.
