Zigong Municipal Chuangju Opera Troupe
The Zigong Municipal Chuangju Opera Troupe was founded in 1954, formerly known as Yifeng Opera Society. The Troupe is famous for performing classical operas like The Golden Seal, A Match Through Red Plum, Story of Pipa and Princess of Hundred Flowers. Its repertoire also includes The Fourth Girl, Bold Yi, Scholar of Bashan Mountain, Pan Jinlian, Twilight over Qishan Mountain, Chinese Princess Turandot and Kiss of Death. The Troupe has won many provincial and national prizes and has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture.

The Troupe has toured the U.S.A., Singapore and Thailand as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan regions and has been highly praised by audiences both at home and abroad.

The Troupe has a group of famous artists including first grade playwright Wei Minglun; first grade performer Yu Conghou; first grade composer Liao Zhongrong; second grade performers Yang Xiancai, Wang Shouyi, Shi Bangfu, Chen Shugen, Duan Wei, Jian Xiaoli; second grade musicians Shang Zhongchi, Wang Fuyuan, Chen Shifen, Xie Yongfang; second grade stage designers Wang Dianyuan and Chen Zairong and second grade director Wang Shirong.
