The Baiju Opera Troupe of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture was set up in November 1961. Since it was founded, the Bai Opera Troupe's contemporary works the Red Sanxian, Red Plum Blossoms on the Mt. Cangshan and legendary Baiju opera The Wangfu Cloud were staged three times in Beijing. The newly created historical Baiju opera Princess Ah Gai attended the Third China National Art Festival and won the Wenhua New Play Award issued by the Ministry of Culture.

The production crew of the Troupe include Ye Xintao, Zhang Shaokui, Dong Hanxian and Yang Yikun, etc.
