Tianjin Municipal Quyi Art Troupe

The Tianjin Municipal Quyi Art Troupe was reorganized from Tianjin Quyi Art Working Troupe in 1953 and late it merged with Tianjin Broadcasting Talk-show Art Troupe.

In the past decades, the Troupe has performed quite a lot of popular programs, for example, cross talks: Buying Monkeys, Starting at 10 o'clock, Shrewd Life, Meeting Fans, Criticism on the Three Kingdoms, On Cross Talkers, Treasure Digging, Chatting and Dispute; lapper talks: The Long March, Hijacking the Criminal Car, Jail delivery and Three Attacks on the White Bone Devil; monologue story-telling in Beijing dialect with drum accompaniment: Hearting the Sound of Bell in the Sword Pavilion, Honorable Sailing, Red Flag on Mount Qomolangma, Loyal Heart Loving Cooperatives, Man Jiang Hong, Beating the Tiger on the Mountain; Tianjinshidiaooperas: Flying the Kite, Kicking the Shuttlecock, Ode to the Masses; story-telling with musicaldanxianaccompaniment Du Shi Niang, Spring Outing, Great Pines; story-telling with drum accompaniment Grandpa Selling Noodles, The Drunk-Liu Ling, Conscience; story-telling in Shandong dialect withqinaccompaniment Road Selecting and etc. The Troupe has been invited to Australia to participate in the Melbourne Art Festival and has also performed in the region of Taiwan twice.

Tianjin Quyi Art Troupe has a great number of elderly and prestigious talk-show artists, such as Zhang Shoucheng, Ma Sanli, Guo Rongqi, Zhao Peiru, Chang Lianan, Chang Baoting, Su Wenmao, Luo Yusheng, Shi Huiru, Wang Peichen, Zhong Junfeng, Xiao Yingxia, Sang Honglin, Wang Yubao, Hua Wubao, Hua Xiaobao, Cheng Yulan, Sima Jingmin, Li Runjie, Wang Fengshan, Wang Dianyu, Lu Chengke, Qi Fengming, Liu Wenyou, Li Mosheng, Ma Dichen, Song Dangan, and so on. The troupe also possesses a young generation of artists: story-teller with drum accompaniment Zhao Xueli, Zhang Qiuping, Liu Chunai, story-teller with plum blossom accompaniment Yang Fengjie, Ji Wei, story-teller with danxian accompaniment Liu Xiumei, story-teller with xihe drum accompaniment Hao Xiujie, Yang Yaqing, Tianjin Shidao actor Guo Hui, famous cross talker Li Boxiang, Wei Wenliang, Ma Zhiming, Hou Changxi, clapper talker Zhang Zhikuan, and Chu Congshan.
