A 4.7-meter-high hollow statue with a graduate's cap and gown appeared in Eslite Bookstore in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Nov 4. The work is made of steel and consists of more than 15,000 laser-engraved letters, numbers and symbols. If visitors flip the pages of the bookshelf underneath, the "doctor" will glitter.
