For Arnold Obermayr, counselor for cultural affairs at the Austrian embassy in China, this year's Spring Festival will be the fourth he has spent in Beijing. He is not only familiar with the cultural background and origin of Spring Festival, but also quite aware of the customs associated with the celebration.

In terms of bilateral relations, pragmatic cooperation between the two countries was advanced to a new level last year. Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen paid a state visit to China in 2018 and a Sino-Austrian friendly strategic partnership was established. More cooperation in various fields are expected between China and Austria.

"We expect more and more Chinese tourists to come to Austria", the counselor said.
