With colorful costumes and silver accessories, girls of the Miao ethnic group in Southwest China's Guizhou province celebrated their traditional Fangu Festival on Saturday with drums and dances. Boasting a history of more than 600 years, the festival is as much about welcoming spring as praying for a rich harvest during the upcoming plowing season.
