Deputy Head of the China Cultural Center Shi Ying said the event, which took place on the occasion of Chinese traditional Dragon Boat Festival, has pushed the cultural exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN as well as between China and Myanmar, and enhanced the connectivity and cultural links between China and regional countries.

The present activities, part of the series of China Tourism and Culture Week, play an important role in further deepening the friendship between the peoples of China and Myanmar, she said, anticipating that through the cultural exchange, it will bring the soul and hearts of the two peoples closer and deepen mutual understanding.

At the ceremony, a memorandum of understanding on China-ASEAN intangible cultural heritage exchange and cooperation mechanism was signed.
