Putin: Innenansichten der Macht [Photo provided to China Daily]

Chinese translation of German journalist Hubert Seipel's book Putin: Innenansichten der Macht was launched on Aug 22 in Beijing.

Seipel, who was born in 1950, is a director and writer who has been reporting and interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2010. He filmed a documentary Ich, Putin - Ein Portrait in 2012.

In 2015, Seipel wrote a biography of Putin, Putin: Innenansichten der Macht and Putin was present at the launch of the Russian version of the book.

The Chinese version is translated by Wang Lei and published by Yilin Press.

The China Written Works Copyright Society plans to take the book to a book fair being held in Moscow from Sept 4 to 8.
