WARSAW -- The Polish capital hosted an event entitled "Charming Beijing" on Monday to promote the history, culture and tourism of the capital city of China.
The event, which included traditional Chinese Kung Fu and classical dance performances, attracted a large crowd in a shopping mall in the center of Warsaw.
"Charming Beijing" also included an exhibition of over 40 photos showing the Chinese capital's historic sites and scenes from its vibrant cultural and social life.
Participants were invited to draw Beijing opera masks, take selfies in Peking Opera costumes, and taste a selection of Chinese teas.
"We hope 'Charming Beijing' could be a platform for Polish people to enjoy traditional Chinese culture and history. Meanwhile, we want to use this as an opportunity to enhance the relationship and friendship between the citizens of Beijing and Warsaw," said Wang Yue, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
