The China (Sichuan) Giant Panda Culture and Tourism Week (Online) 2020 kicked off on July 23. People all over the globe are welcome to visit the home of the giant panda, have a wonderful time meeting this amazing animal, and enjoy magnificent Sichuan!
Almost everyone knows what the fantastic giant panda looks like. But what about the panda's hometown?
Sichuan province in Southwest China has launched an online tour centered on the giant pandas' habitat, which covers an area of 9,245 square kilometers and represents the world's largest and most complete such habitat of its kind.
Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries, a World Natural Heritage site, consists of Baoxing county, where the world's first giant panda was discovered; seven nature reserves including Wolong, Tangjiahe and Wanglang; as well as nine scenic spots including Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
During the tour, it's so amazing that you can see the lovely giant pandas, appreciate the magnificent landscapes, learn about the local gourmet food, and experience the diverse ethnic cultures of the Tibetan, Qiang and Yi people.
