Any suffering, either mental or physical, could become an inspiration to artists.
This summer, it is transformed into exaggerated body movements in modern dance to show one’s fierce inner side, as in Pain, Wall and Unbounded, three works created by young Chinese dancers this summer.
The dances, created under the program Image of Chinese Dancers, are an element of the National Young Dancers Development program.
Proposed by the China Dancers Association in 2014, the National Young Dancers Development program aims to lend special support to innovative and talented young dancers.
Through establishing platforms, promoting original works and providing opportunities for international communication, the plan is set to give young dancers complete guidance and cultivation of their talent.
