Hong Kong presented local distinctive food and wine at tasting events that were simultaneously held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu on Nov 24.
They were part of Hong Kong's Wine and Dine Festival that began on Nov 11 and will last till Dec 15.
More than 30 online programs featuring local wine, cuisine, healthy diets and table art have been aired since late November.
The idea is to show Hong Kong's new image of actively boosting consumption and tourism recovery under the pandemic control, says Dane Cheng, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
In the recovery of the mainland market, the HKTB will explore regional strategies and focus on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Cheng says.
"We'll conduct collaborative innovation, study preferential policies after the restart of cross-border travel, and build Hong Kong into a gateway for international tourists to enter the Greater Bay Area and the mainland."
