"After Brexit, the UK needs to find an alternative market, a new destination for investment as well as a new partner," Patel added.

"Considering the mutually-complementing nature of both of our economies, and as our country gradually recovers from the aftershock of the pandemic, there is bound to be more opportunities for the UK offered by the enormous market of China."
