An online education program to inform Chinese youth of the country's achievements in recent years has just been launched to mark the 70th anniversary of founding of New China.
The non-profit program, going online through Xueersi.com was co-launched by news center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and China Youth Daily.
About 30 guests, including academicians, top engineers, scholars and scientists will participate in the program delivering lectures and sharing personal experiences with students nationwide.
Among those taking part in the program are Lin Ming, chief engineer of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge; Fan Jinshi, the former director of Dunhuang Academy, and Liu Xiaohan, who spent 36 years in the scientific exploration of Antarctica.
Separately, the guiding center of young volunteers under The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League is to organize a voluntary education project in remote areas by inviting experts to give lectures for students there.
