New Zealanders embrace Chinese tai chi

On Mar 3, Palmerston North, a city in the North Island of New Zealand, held its annual tai chi cultural festival in the city's downtown square, attracting 50 local participants and many more visitors.

Zhang Jianyong, a martial arts instructor from the China Cultural Center in Wellington, staged a performance and demonstrated to participants how to do Wu Qin Xi or "five-animal frolic",a set of Chinese exercises to promote health and physical fitness in traditional Chinese medicine.
