For more than 600 years, Nanjing Presidential Palace served as home and office for some of the country's most important political figures. It is currently a history museum showing China from the 20th century. Walk through the imperial buildings, observe the exhibitions filled with objects, photos and documents, and explore the stunning gardens.

The palace occupies the ground where there were two palaces of the Ming dynasty and was also the headquarters of the Office of the President of the Republic of China. Dedicate at least a couple of hours to explore the three exhibition areas of the museum.
