Paigu (a set of three to seven tuned drums), also called the Chinese Fishing Drum, is inventively crafted to have a uniquely sonorous sound. Coming in different shapes and sizes, it can produce sounds from both above and below. In this session, percussionists Tong Shengyuan and Feng Lu from China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater demonstrate the five-tone paigu. Check it out!
