The chamber concert Melody of the Orient was held at the China Cultural Center in Luxembourg on Saturday night, marking the end of its European tour.
From late October to November, the concert was also held in Belgium on Oct 29, France on Nov 17 and Malta from Nov 23 to 24.
At the concerts, Belgian musicians Jean-Francois Maljean, Johan Famaey and the Belart Female String Quartet consisting of Chinese and Belgian musicians, played classical pieces as well as new productions from China and Europe, such as Chinese songs Jasmine Flower and Kangding Love Song, Edward Elgar's Salut d'Amour (Love's Greeting) and Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music).
Hosted by the China International Culture Association, the tour was co-organized by the China cultural centers in Brussels, Paris, Luxembourg and Malta, and the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater.
