A special event was held in Kuala Lumpur on Monday to share with Malaysian people ice and snow tourism resources in Helongjiang and Liaoning provinces, and the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

It's part of the two-month-long "Hello! China - China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season", which will run through February.

Attending Monday's event, Song Wei, deputy head of the Network of International Culturalink Entities, said: "Northern China is rich in ice and snow tourism resources, with magnificent snow scenery, distinctive ice and snow culture, and a wide variety of ice and snow activities." He noted that the rapid growth of the ice and snow tourism industry has become a significant highlight in China's broader tourism landscape.

Zhang Jiexin, director of the China Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur, said: "2024 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia. Late last year saw the implementation of a mutual visa-free policy, creating a new era of tourism cooperation between the two countries." He said he believes that tourism cooperation between the two nations will usher in new opportunities.
