Lake Garda, Italy (file photo)
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy as well as one of northern Italy's most popular tourist destinations. Glaciers formed this alpine region at the end of the last Ice Age. Lake Garda diving is not something you really take a whole lot of notice of at first, because there is so much else happening on the lake. The fact that there is a dozen or so diving centers though proves that it is actually quite a popular sport.
