Daming Palace was the grandest and most significant palace complex in Xi'an (then Chang'an) during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and was the site where Tang emperors lived, dealt with state affairs and met with officials. It has been rebuilt and was opened to the public on October 1st, 2010. About two thirds of the park is free to access. The remaining third, which features cultural heritage artifacts and exhibitions, has an admission fee.[Photo: china.org.cn]
