2013-12-15 11:11:47

A villager walks on the second floor of his wooden fence dwelling in Dazhuang Village of Salar Autonomous County of Xunhua, northwest China's Qinghai Province, Dec. 13, 2013. Dated from the Ming (1368-1644) ang Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, wooden fence dwellings have played an important role in Salar people's daily life. Salar people's wooden fence dwellings, named after the vine-knitted walls, are of great value in the study of Salar people's economy, culture and history. (Xinhua/Wu Gang)
