Taifeng Lake

Taifeng Lake has an area of 20 hectares. It is said that Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) hunted here. Looking from the mountain in the east, he felt the lake looked like a Ruyi (a Chinese jade article). Hence it’s name Ruyi Lake. As Emperor Qianlong once stationed his army in the north of the lake, he often encamped here while hunting at the nearby Mulan Hunting Ground.
