5. Forest of Stone Steles Museum (Xi'an Beilin Museum)
Forest of Stone Steles Museum, initially established in 1087, is the largest and oldest museum of steles in China with a large collection of 3,000 steles from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. These stone steles record the development of Chinese culture and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
Admission: 75 yuan (March to November); 50 yuan (December to February)
Opening hours: 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. (March to November, last entry 6 p.m.); 8 am to 6 pm. (December to February, last entry 5:15 p.m.)
6.Shuyuan Men (The Arts Street)
Under the ancient city wall and behind the Forest of Steles, there is a well-known street called Shuyuan Men (The Arts Street). Both sides of the slab stone road are lined with buildings in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Various crafts and arts are sold at this crowded street all year long. There you can also find many historical relics, calligraphy, paintings, antiques, jewels, folk art fine works and so on.
