Jizhou vase

During the Song and Yuan dynasties, porcelain made in the city and other southern China kiln sites only used crushed and refined pottery stones. Among the famous kiln sites, Jizhou is noted for its delicate products. The vase is glazed with a dark coffee color at its mouth and bottom, and the main body is decorated with pattern of grasses.
Longquan celadon vase
Date: Song Dynasty (960-1279)
Chinese ceramics reached their peak in the Song Dynasty and the output also reached a record high, thanks to advanced technology. Many kiln sites also appeared in larger numbers and Longquan kilns are largely located in Lishui prefecture in southwestern Zhejiang Province. As for those in other prefectures, the total of discovered kiln sites is over two hundred, making the Longquan celadon production area one of the largest historical ceramic centers in all of China.
