This is a story from the classical novel Three Kingdoms: Wang Yun and Diao Chan laid interlocking plans. Wang Yun betrothed his step-daughter, Diao Chan, to Lǚ Bu. Then, to sow discord between the two, Wang Yun presented the girl to Dong Zhuo as a concubine. Lǚ Bu was furious and each time he met Diao Chan, the latter feigned a sad, tearful look. One day, while Dong Zhuo was in court, Lǚ Bu rushed back to Dong Zhuo’s residence to see the girl. In the Fengyi Pavilion, the girl told him her troubles.
The big pictures of the four pavilions of the Long Corridor are called “plank of the head of door”. This plank shows a famous article of ancient China, Peach-Blossom Source. The picture depicts the tranquil and remote peach garden world at great length.
