BEIJING-- The annual Frieze Art Fair in London is teeming with artistic vibrancy. The world’s leading contemporary art event has everything artistic to offer, from classic to cutting-edge, from old masters to up-and-coming artists.
Re-designed this year, Frieze London 2013 brings 152 of the world’s leading contemporary galleries to the UK. Exhibitors from 30 countries have come to participate in the 11th instalment of the fair, once again confirming its position as one of the world's leading contemporary art events.
Among others, this year's gallery list includes contributions from Brazil, Columbia, India, Mexico, South Africa and China.
Lehmann Maupin is one of the participating galleries representing Chinese artists. Its co-owner David Maupin says that Frieze London is a not-to-be-missed event for galleries seeking better exposure and marketing.
This year’s fair is also hosting the second-edition of Frieze Masters. Here, 130 carefully selected works from the world’s leading galleries cover everything from ancient masterpieces to 20th century modern.
The two fairs create a focus for a broad international art audience, and benefit from a crossover of contemporary and classical art. (By CCTV reporter Ma Shuo)
