Folk artist Wang Zhimin is currently working on a series of root-carved sculptures modeled after the 108 headmen from The Water Margin, with 56 already completed. Wang makes use of roots from local ghent azalea trees, peach and jujube trees to create his vivid and distinctive root figurines.
