Alexandre Loske, Doctor of Art History from the University of Sussex, discussed the decorations in British palaces during the reign of the King George IV in the 19th century. She said the unique conception of design and decoration were inspired by Chinese export products.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Yinchuan (MOCA) published “MOCA Yinchuan Dimension of Civilization Book Series”, including Proceedings of the Dimension of Civilization (Chinese and English), The Hongs of Canton: Foreign Merchants in Chinese Export Paintings from 1700 to 1900, Iconography and Schemata: A History of Communication between China and the West in Painting, 1514-1885 and Accommodation of Vision—Early Chinese Western-style Paintings. This event helped experts and scholars to have a further discussion on cultural exchanges, strengthen understanding of the essence of civilization and history and outline differences among civilizations.
