His two painting albums were published in France. The one published in 2005 is a collection of water-ink sketches titled “The Pilgrimage Road of A Chinese Artist”, which focuses on Rue Saint-Jacques in Paris. The other published the following year is the album "The Voyage of a Chinese Painter in Provence", which is an artistic accomplishment of Ji Dahai during his stay in Provence. Provence is widely known by its cosy environment, lovely landscape and the artist’s affection for it. Ji preserved the beauty of Provence by utilizing traditional Chinese painting techniques. It's a special way of this artist with Chinese subtlty to relive the unforgettable scenery back in Provence, and at the same time, to open a dialogue between the eastern and western worlds.
