Several new dance musicals have recently premiered in Beijing. The musicals are crossing various genres, which have helped attract wide audiences.
Zhengzhou Song & Dance Theater presented "The Goddess of Luo", following their critically acclaimed musical, "Shao Lin in the Wind".
"The Goddess of Luo" is inspired by Chinese ancient poet, Cao Zhi's well-known pieces "Rhapsody of Goddess of Luo" and "Seven Step Poem" as well as other tales from Henan Province.
The story line focuses on the relationship between Cao Zhi the poet and his brother, the Emperor of Wei, Cao Pi.
