The wonderful performances include dancing shows such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream from Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Le Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon; theatres shows such as 4.48 Psychosis, Faith Healer from Bristol Old Vic, Richard III and The Truth About Lying. Titus Andronicus of Tang Shu-wing will be the last show of the arts festival.
Symposia, guided tours, master classes and workshops will also be held this year. The art festival is holding the art activities cooperating with the Urban Renewal Authority for the first time to enhance communication between the artists and residents.
In addition, the Hong Kong Arts Festival specially arranges the parade of the 40th Hong Kong Arts Festival poster design to celebrate the 40th anniversary. It is the first exhibition of a batch precious poster about the development of the Hong Kong Arts Festival. The exhibition dates are from January 31 to March 4.
The Hong Kong Arts Festival seeks to present performances at the highest standards to enrich cultural life in Hong Kong. In addition to commission, the Festival publishes and produces original work, mainly in theatre and multi-media, available for subsequent touring.
