The French Institute and Campus France will reopen to the public on June 7.
Laurent Fabius, French Foreign Affairs minister, attended the inauguration ceremony on May 18 in Beijing.
"The young people from China and France can study and communicate at this beautiful culture center. It not only is a holy place to witness the relationship between these two countries but manifests the good momentum of the development of the Sino-France relationship," Fabius said at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Fabius visited the on-going photo exhibition "France and China: 50 years of relation," which was co-proposed by Xinhua News Agency and Agence France-Presse. A total of 50 photos, exhibited in France in June of 2013, are on display.
Here, the public will enjoy various activities in different areas, such as a multi-media center, cinema, library and French Alliance.
As one of the earliest foreign culture centers opened in China, the institute first opened to the public in October 2004. It stopped operations from January last year because of new decorations.
