The Fourth New Zealand International Children’s Arts Festival was held in Auckland’s Chinatown on Aug 9. Participants are children between the ages of 4-13.
The programs included Chinese songs and classical dances, such as the dragon dance and lion dance, instrumental performances, such as piano, violin and accordion, as well as painting, calligraphy and photography displays.
Founded in 2009, the New Zealand International Children’s Arts Festival aims to improve the artistic talent and quality of Chinese children in New Zealand and enhance communication and understanding of the Chinese and western culture.
