Jointly held by the International Calligrapher's Association, Thailand Taihua Calligraphy Association and Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok, the 11th International Calligraphy Exchange exhibition was held in Bangkok from Aug 14 -16, with displays of 400 works by artists from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other 20 countries and regions. At the same time, the International Calligrapher's Association conference was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok.
The former culture minister of Thailand Sontaya Kunplome addressed the opening ceremony that China and Thailand have a long history of friendship, and exchanges and communications between the two countries in culture and other aspects have been quickly growing. Chinese culture is very popular in Thailand, which is a joint effort of both cultural organizations.”
