Ancient villages catalogued for better preservation

A study is underway in Wuyuan, to better preserve the cultural roots of historical heritage. It is among the sites in the countrywide project, "Retain nostalgia - archive the ancient villages in China". Staff from the project are researching and culturally preserving aspects of architecture, ecology, folkways and population in Wuyuan's 30 villages that date from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The information will be archived.
